A vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft Windows, which can be exploited by malicious, local users to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

The vulnerability is caused due to an error within the "xxxMenuWindowProc()" function (win32k.sys) and can be exploited to cause a kernel crash.

The vulnerability is confirmed on a fully patched Windows 8.1 (win32k.sys version 6.3.9600.17393). Other versions may also be affected.
