A vulnerability has been identified in Cisco IOS XR, which can be exploited by malicious people to cause a DoS (Denial of Service).

 

The vulnerability is caused due to an error when managing allocated memory within the SNMP process and can be exploited to e.g. restart the SNMP process by sending specially crafted UDP packets to port 162.

 

The vulnerability is reported in version 4.3.0. Other versions may also be affected.
