"HKCERT Capture the Flag Challenge 2024" - Seminar and Award Presentation Ceremony
In recent years, cybersecurity has become one of the most prominent and talent-scarce fields in the information technology sector. Capture The Flag (CTF) competitions are designed to train these specific skills and mindsets. Participants need to find the hidden vulnerabilities in a simulated environment based on real systems to break through security defences. Upon success, they capture “flags” and earn points.
HKCERT Capture The Flag 2024 Seminar and Ceremony which organised by the Hong Kong Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Centre (HKCERT), the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and Digital Policy Office (DPO) will be held on 21 January 2025.
Cybersecurity experts will share the latest security information including but not limited to how red/blue team can address the shortcomings of the traditional cybersecurity testing, what risks will arise when applying artificial intelligence, etc. Additionally, the seminar will provide tips on talent training and advice for the new generation entering the industry.
Apart from the rich expert sharing sessions, the event will also announce the results of the Capture the Flag competition and present various awards. Representatives from the organiser and the Digital Policy Office are invited to attend and present the awards.
There will be a Lucky Draw in the event. You may get the chance to win the online cybersecurity training course sponsored by the renowned training organisation - OffSec. The course covers basic offensive and defensive techniques, networking, scripting, application and operating system security, and business-related skills.
