"Smart Home, Safe Living" 1-Page Comic Drawing Contest Build a Secure Cyberspace 2017

The objective of the “Smart Home, Safe Living” 1-Page Comic Drawing Contest is to raise public awareness of information security and encourage the adoption of security best practices, with a view to enhancing public concern about the security of Internet devices.  With 1-page comic drawings, participants can demonstrate through stories the cyber security risks and threats posed to Internet devices (e.g. IP cameras, wireless routers, etc.) and the respective preventive measures to protect the operation of the devices and the privacy of personal data against hackers.  Examples of preventive measures include changing the default accounts and passwords of Internet devices, installing the latest software and firmware updates, and disabling unnecessary wireless communication features and services in Internet devices, etc.

The contest is divided into Open, Secondary School and Primary School categories.  Each participant can enrol to only one of the categories and should submit only one entry.  Additional entries will be rendered void.

• Open Category: Open to all Hong Kong residents.
• Secondary School Category: Open to all secondary school students in Hong Kong
• Primary School Category: Open to all primary school students in Hong Kong

(All persons involved in the planning and implementation of the contest are not eligible for joining the contest.  They include but not limited to members of the organising committee, panel of judges and their immediate family members.)

Application and Submission Period: From 3 April 2017 (Monday) to 21 July 2017 (Friday)
